Did you have a work experience program at school? A day or week when you got to know working life? Many people remember that time as fun, interesting, maybe even educational. For some, the work experience program leads to a summer job or clarifies what kind of career they want to pursue.
YTK Worklife is involved in supporting young people in learning about working life. We believe that diverse experiences of work, different professions, and work communities are important for young people. We believe that learning through experience creates a strong memory.
Would your organization be interested in offering work experience placements on the TET.fi platform? The Children and Youth Foundation, which is behind the service, has built a service connecting young people and employers, which offers job listings as well as a wealth of material to support companies’ work experiance placements.
Offering a work experiance placement is a truly responsible act and also improves the employer’s image. The TET.fi service supports employers in practical arrangements.

Coming this fall: essential working life information for young people
At YTK, we want every young person’s transition to working life to go as smoothly as possible. This includes not only positive experiences, but also an understanding of how to prepare for and cope with the various changes that working life can bring.
In collaboration with the Children and Youth Foundation, we will publish content during 2025 that will strengthen young people’s working life skills and their belief in their own future. The materials will be freely available to everyone and can be used, for example, to support teaching in schools.
