Is Sunday pay missing from your wages? Is there an unclear clause in your employment contract? Or has your employer suddenly announced a change to your working hours?
Many of us think through these questions on our own or ask friends and family for advice. Contacting a lawyer can feel like a big step, especially if you are not even sure whether anything is wrong.
The Legal Assistance, included in YTK Worklife membership, puts help from lawyers and payroll experts within easy reach. You can ask for help whenever you have a question or concern about your employment or pay. You do not need to wait for the situation to escalate or know how to interpret the law and your collective agreement yourself. You can simply contact the Legal Assistance.
Your first contact is a lawyer
From your very first contact with the Legal Assistance, you will receive help from a lawyer specialising in employment law. They will assess your situation and advise you on what to do next. Experienced payroll experts also help with questions about pay.
Often, a conversation is all it takes: up to 90 per cent of enquiries are resolved through the lawyer’s advice. This means you can quickly get clarity on how to proceed.
“Professional and friendly service. Highly recommended!”
“Everything went smoothly, and I received extremely valuable legal advice and emotional support in a difficult situation. Thank you so much!”
Join early and tell a friend, too
You can get advice from the Legal Assistance as soon as your YTK Worklife membership begins. If your case requires further investigation, an expert can take it on through the Premium service at no additional cost. If needed, legal expenses insurance provides further protection.
To use the Premium service and legal expenses insurance, you must have been a member of YTK Worklife for at least six months before the matter arose. Do not put off joining – take care of it today!
Join YTK Unemployment Fund and add YTK Worklife membership. This gives you financial security in case of unemployment, as well as help from lawyers with everyday employment issues, both big and small.
If you are already a member, bring up the Legal Assistance with a friend or colleague:
“Did you know that YTK also offers help from a lawyer with everyday questions about pay and employment?”

Why is YTK membership worthwhile?
- As a YTK member, you can receive more money when you are unemployed or laid off than you would receive through Kela’s general social security benefit. Use the calculator to see how much earnings-related unemployment allowance you could receive!
- Join early so that you have time to accumulate enough working and membership condition before any potential unemployment or lay-off.
- Only an unemployment fund pays earnings-related unemployment allowance. You do not need to join a trade union, which is often more expensive, to receive it.
- YTK is suitable for all employees, regardless of industry or occupation. You do not need to change funds even if you later change jobs or industries.
- As a member of YTK Unemployment Fund, you can also join YTK Worklife. For an additional annual fee of only around €30, you get:
- Help from a lawyer when you have questions about your pay or employment
- Legal expenses insurance
- Accident insurance valid worldwide
- Personal career coaching
- Eduhouse’s popular training courses
- A wide range of discounts on hotels, spas, fitness services and other leisure activities.
