As a member of YTK Worklife, you’ll receive advice on labor law or salary-related matters right from the start of your membership. The Legal Assistance Premium service is available to you if you’ve been a member of YTK Worklife for at least 6 months at the time of the incident.

Professional legal expenses insurance
If a matter cannot be resolved amicably through negotiation, you have professional legal expenses insurance to cover disputes and criminal matters related to your employment or public service relationship.
Legal Assistance – legal support for problems at work
The Legal Assistance is a comprehensive legal service available to YTK Worklife members that supports you in problematic situations related to your employment or public service relationship by providing expert advice or helping to resolve your situation. The goal is always to reach a resolution, but if that is not possible, you also have access to legal expences insurance. The Legal Assistance service is included in the YTK Worklife membership fee, which is only 31 € per year.

The Legal Assistance consists of four components:
1. The Employment guide and AI bot are available to you right from the start of your YTK Worklife membership. You’ll find information on topics such as employment contracts, payroll, annual leave, and working hours. The AI bot and chatbot Sulo provide quick answers to general questions.
2. General advice is available to you right from the start of your membership. You can get advice over the phone from lawyers specializing in labor law as well as experienced payroll experts. Advice is provided by YTK Worklife’s own lawyers as well as attorneys and lawyers belonging to the OpusLex network. For salary matters, your advisor is an expert in the field who knows salary regulations and collective bargaining agreements inside and out.

3. The Premium Service is available to you if your membership in YTK Worklife has lasted at least six months prior to the issue arising. A lawyer specializing in labor law will personally take on your case: they will familiarize themselves with the situation, determine your rights in the matter, and take the case forward with the goal of reaching an amicable resolution.
In salary matters, the investigation is handled by an experienced salary specialist. The service is also available to CEO members.
Did you know? YTK Worklife pays for the services of a labor law attorney on behalf of approximately 2 500 members annually and employs ten in-house lawyers for its members.
4. Legal Expences Insurance is available to you in the event of a dispute, covering legal and court costs in accordance with the terms of the policy. You can utilize the insurance once your membership in YTK Worklife has lasted at least six months. If your membership has been in effect for less than two years, the circumstances on which the dispute or criminal case is based must also have arisen during the period of your membership.

The Employment guide, AI bot, general advice, and Premium service are all included in the YTK Worklife membership fee, which is 31 € in 2026.
If you use the legal expences insurance, you may be required to pay the deductible and any costs exceeding the coverage limit, but prior to that, the lawyer’s full investigation in the Premium service is provided at no additional cost.

Right from the start of your membership, you’ll receive:

If your YTK Worklife membership has been active for at least 6 months before the case arises, you’ll receive:
- The Premium service (i.e., legal investigation by a lawyer)
- Legal expenses insurance
The Premium service accepts cases that arose no earlier than 2021.
Start by contacting us through the OMA+ service. A lawyer specializing in labor law will assess your situation and, if necessary, refer you to the Premium service. If the case requires further investigation, the lawyer will ask for your consent to handle the matter and will take action.
Most cases are resolved during the investigation. If the matter is not resolved and remains in dispute, you can apply for a legal expenses insurance decision regarding the matter.
If the matter cannot be resolved through counseling or the Premium service, you can check whether your legal expenses insurance covers further proceedings in court. The insurance company will make the final decision on compensation.
To access the free service included with your membership, you must use a lawyer designated by YTK Worklife. All lawyers participating in the Legal Assistance are professionals specializing in labor law, either from YTK Worklife’s own team or from the OpusLex network of attorneys.
Using legal expenses insurance does not require a lawyer appointed by YTK Worklife, so you can choose your own lawyer in that case.
The most common reason is the length of your membership: To be eligible for the Premium service, your YTK Worklife membership must have been active for at least 6 months prior to the start of the chain of events. For example, in the case of termination, the 6-month membership period is calculated from the date of the notice of termination.
A negative decision regarding the Premium service does not automatically mean a negative decision regarding legal expenses insurance – they operate under separate terms and conditions, and decisions are made by different bodies.
The decision on eligibility for Premium service is made by YTK Worklife. When applying for legal expenses insurance, the decision is made by the insurance company. Therefore, a rejection for the Premium service does not automatically mean a rejection for legal expenses insurance. The same applies in reverse.
Legal expenses insurance and the Premium service differ in their terms and conditions. For example, comments and advice related to termination agreements are covered by the Premium service, but the terms of employment termination are excluded from legal expenses insurance.
