Contact the Legal Assistance

Do you think your employment was terminated for the wrong reasons, or do you want to make sure your pay has been calculated correctly? When you encounter a tricky issue at work, turn to the Legal Assistance! You’ll get quick and expert help with the questions on your mind. The Legal Assistance is included in your YTK Worklife membership.

As a member of YTK Worklife, you’ll receive advice on labor law or salary-related matters right from the start of your membership. The Premium service is available to you if you’ve been a member of YTK Worklife for at least 6 months at the time of the incident.

Here’s how the Legal Assistance service works:

1. Find out more first

We have compiled a wealth of information to help you with all aspects of employment, from job hunting to salary matters and the end of employment.

2. Contact our advice service

You can contact the Legal Assistance as soon as your YTK Worklife membership becomes active. Call Mon-Thu 9 a.m.-2 p.m. or leave a message at any time via the OMA+ service (Messages >> Legal Assistance).

When you leave a message, the Legal Assistance will call you back from a number starting with 02 or reply to your message in OMA+.

The advisory service provides general guidance, either by phone or via message, on common legal issues related to working life. You can find more detailed instructions on how to contact us in OMA+.

If your matter concerns unemployment benefits or other unemployment fund matters, please contact the YTK Unemployment Fund.

3. You can get legal assistance through the Premium service

Sometimes advice alone isn’t enough; you may need more extensive help from a lawyer or payroll specialist, such as reviewing payroll or drafting a demand letter. You are eligible for the free Premium service if you have been a member of YTK Worklife for at least 6 months at the time of the incident. Eligibility for the Premium service is verified on a case-by-case basis after you have first contacted our advisory service. Read the terms of service in OMA+.

4. Legal expenses insurance to support you in a dispute

If the matter cannot be resolved through the Premium service, you have the option of using your legal expenses insurance to pursue the dispute further. Read the insurance terms and conditions!

Information about the Legal Assistance service

If you are a member of both the YTK Unemployment Fund and YTK Worklife, you’ll have access to the Legal Assistance’s advice on employment and salary matters right from the start of your membership. Once your membership in YTK Worklife has lasted at least 6 months, you can access the Legal Assistance’s Premium service and have a lawyer handle your case on a retainer basis. If the matter cannot be resolved through negotiation, you also have access to professional legal protection insurance for disputes and criminal matters related to your employment or civil service relationship.
