- Always make a written employment contract.
- You have the right to a comprehensive orientation.
- Check pay slips carefully.
- Even summer jobs tend to accrue holiday days. These are often paid as holiday compensation.
- Ask for a certificate of employment when your work is finished.
- Ask for a reference for future work.

Join the YTK Unemployment Fund as soon as you start working
Your YTK Student membership does not include unemployment insurance. Join the unemployment fund as soon as you start working – even part-time! As a member, you can get up to twice as much money during unemployment or a lay-off as if you were not a member.
