Microsoft The Practical AI course is a free course open to everyone and it helps you to use and benefit from AI in suitable situations.
In this university-level course, which is easy for anyone to grasp, you will learn about the possibilities of using generative AI and try out and learn the principles of safe and ethical use. During the course, you will also learn prompting in practice and how to use language and image models.
The course is worth two credits (ECTS), and it can also be accredited to a higher education degree. It is available in Finnish and English.
The course has been designed in cooperation with Microsoft, Elisa, Sulava and Finnish higher education institutions. The partner organizations bring up-to-date expertise on AI to the course. Experts from these organizations will feature in videos that explain the potential uses of generative AI that they have already leveraged while working at the forefront of AI development.
The Practical AI course is part of the popular Skills for Jobs project, which aims to train 100,000 technology experts in Finland over the next five years. We have already reached 24,000 new or up-skilled technology experts in cooperation with training partners, customer, and partner competence programmes and a new microdegree.
